1. The Regiment of Artillery Museum

The Regiment of Artillery Museum is Asia’s biggest artillery museum. From small weapons to big tanks, from modern radar system to 2400 year old catapult, the museum has a lot to showcase.

Established by the Regiment of Artillery Association, this museum showcases our military’s heritage & artillery evolution. Must visit for a proud Indian. Learn more.


2. Kamal Wada Museum

Kamal Wada is a private museum curated by Mr. Anant Dhamne, a retired government officer. The museum features a collection of old coins and ancient artefacts, including weaponry, locks, statues, and more.

The museum is on the first floor of Mr Dhamne’s residence. Although not large, it is highly interesting, showcasing the history of thousands of years.


3. Shanti-Krishna Museum of Money and History

Shanti-Krishna Museum was originally a coin museum. It has since been renovated to include archaeological findings and memento collection. From coin collection, stone age tools to rocks & crystal collections it has a lot to offer.

In addition to showcasing culture and civilization history, the museum also features an exhibit on the coin-making process. It is a fun place, specially for kids.


4. Nashik Regional Museum (Sarkar Wada)

The Sarkar Wada was an administrative headquarter of Peshwas, hence the name. It also acted as the British quarters of Nashik division for a while. After the exit of Britishers, the place was converted into a museum by the government.

The museum consists of various artefacts collected from Nashik and nearby districts. It has various sections like paint section, stone sculpture section, coin section & more.


5. Shree Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial

Shree Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial is one of the few museums in Nashik dedicated to the history and significance of the Maratha Empire. The museum primarily features a collection of Shivaji-era swords.

There is also a 7-8 ft Bhavani Talwar in the museum. A great feature is the presence of a guide who explains the significance of the different swords.


6. Kusumagraj Pratishthan

The Kusumagraj Pratishthan is a cultural center honoring the famous Marathi poet and writer, Vishnu Vāman Shirwādkar, also known as Kusumagraj. It promotes Marathi literature and culture.

The center hosts events, workshops, and seminars to celebrate Kusumagraj’s legacy and support new literary talent. The Pratishthan also has a library and museum showcasing his works. Visitors can see all his literary awards, including the Padma Bhushan and Dnyanpeeth Award.


7. HAL Museum / Pragati Aerospace Museum

The Pragati Aerospace Museum primarily showcases the entire history of HAL, Hindustan Aerospace Limited. It hosts various aircraft products like the MiG21, the MiG27 & the Sukhoi.

Although, people often say the museum isn’t very engaging. It’s also only open on Sundays, from 9 AM to 1 PM.


8. Gargoti – The Mineral Museum

The Gargoti Museum is absolutely engaging, showcasing more than 2,000 varieties of precious and rare marble collections. The pieces, sourced from various locations, are well curated & remarkably beautiful.

The vast majority of the collection, about 80%, was gathered by a single individual. A highly knowledgeable guide is available to explain everything, making the experience even more engaging for you.


9. 360Degree Objet D’art

360Degree Objet D’art is a hidden gem showcasing beautiful artifacts & designs. Opened in 2015, the studio showcases authentic art, sourced from renowned artists & designers.

It’s worth noting that they have collected art from more than 20 countries and 125 cities. Also the studio, as seen above, is equally beautiful as the art itself. A must-visit for both photographers and art enthusiasts, this is one of the best art museums in Nashik.
