Nashik is a spiritual place known for its temples. However, another thing that makes Nashik famous is its waterfalls. I have personally visited these waterfalls and will use this blog to introduce you to them.

Note: It’s fun going out in nature. Make sure it’s the same for the person going after you. Don’t Litter. Keep the environment safe.

The waterfalls are ordered according to their distance from Nashik (City Centre Mall). There is a map at the end of this blog with the location pin of all the waterfalls.

On a personal note, I find the waterfalls within 50-100 Kms more scenic and adventurous than the ones near Nashik.

1. Someshwar Waterfall

This small waterfall in Nashik is located behind Mahadev’s Someshwar Mandir. The waterfall is popular for picnics & photography. During the monsoon, street vendors appear nearby.

However, I don’t recommend it as the waterfall is small and not suitable for swimming or dipping.


2. Dari Aai Mata

This small Nashik waterfall, near Dari Aai Mata Temple, is one of my favourites for its beautiful flora & fauna. People love visiting the temple & spending time near the waterfall, especially during the monsoon season.


3. Anjaneri Waterfall

Anjaneri Hill, OTW to Trimbakeshwar, is one of the best mountains I’ve explored near Nashik. It is known for its reverse waterfall, visible during rainy & windy conditions.

This place holds special significance as it is the birthplace of Mahaveer Hanuman. As a result, it attracts a lot of crowds, especially on weekends. If you’re interested we have a dedicated blog on Anjaneri as well.


4. Pahine Waterfall

Pahine Waterfall, also known as Necklace Waterfall, is one of the best Nashik waterfalls. The hike to the waterfall is about 2 km & well worth the effort. Unlike some other waterfalls, it is not as risky, making it a safer option for visitors. Read more


5. Bhala Waterfall

Bhala Waterfall is a lesser-known gem in Pahine, located near the Necklace Waterfall. Its beauty lies in its isolation from the crowds. However, due to its secluded nature, I don’t recommend it as a family spot.


6. Trimbak Falls

The Trimbak falls is a waterfall for the mountain lovers. The waterfall is an offbeat place not explored by many. Although, this hidden gem is only good for the monsoons. Explore this Nashik waterfall ideally on a trip to or from Trimbakeshwar.


7. Harihar Waterfall

Harihar Waterfall is a small waterfall near Nashik that many people find perfect for photography. The waterfall is easy to access, with just a short 50-meter walk from the main road. It is ideal for a quick trip, especially if you’re visiting Harihar Fort.


8. Dugarwadi Waterfall

Dugarwadi Waterfall is a must-visit for those new to Nashik. The waterfall is accessible via a downhill trek of about 2-3 km. The first half of the trek takes you along a small road completely covered with trees.

Although the trek is a bit challenging and risky, the view is well worth the effort. That said, I don’t recommend taking small children or elderly individuals along. Additionally, avoid visiting this waterfall on weekends due to heavy crowds.


9. Shitkada Waterfall

Shitkada Waterfall is a stunning 350-foot waterfall near Nashik. It forms a natural pool of turquoise water at its base. During the monsoon, the water volume increases significantly, creating a misty effect.

You can enjoy rappelling next to the waterfall. Contact ‘Mavale Mountain Rangers‘ for this adventure. A professional team ensures safety throughout the experience.


10. Bhaskar Waterfall

Bhaskar Waterfall near Nashik is a less-explored gem. It is one of the five waterfalls in the Trimbakeshwar forest. The Waterfall offers a breathtaking view and is a great spot for nature lovers and adventure seekers.


11. Umbhrande Waterfall

Umbhrande Waterfall is a hidden gem in Trimbakeshwar. It’s a beautiful and remote spot near Nashik with a challenging trek. The trail goes through farms & water bodies.

Although, the view is mesmerising after the tough climb. I recommend visiting in a group due to high water flow and slippery rocks.


12. Shree Mahadev Waterfall

Shree Mahadev Waterfall is a road-touch spot on the Jawhar-Nashik road. It’s a great place for a quick break to enjoy the waterfall and corn from local vendors. This waterfall near Nashik is ideal for a quick nature escape with family or friends.


13. Tarangan Waterfall

Tarangan Waterfall is a peaceful and small spot near the Trimbakeshwar road. It has clean water and no crowds. Perfect for a quick 15-minute stop. The waterfall is easy to reach with available parking. Ideal for a brief, refreshing break.


14. Heduli Waterfall

Heduli Waterfall is a lovely spot in Amboli Ghat, Nashik. It’s right by the road, so no trek is needed. Enjoy the cool breeze and have a picnic with family or friends. Also, The shallow water is safe for children. Although, visit on weekdays to avoid crowds.


15. Burundi Waterfall

Burundi Waterfall, is one of the best unexplored Nashik waterfall. What’s great is that it offers a private experience away from the crowds. While it’s ideal for a peaceful visit, it seems mostly frequented by boys. I’m not sure if bringing your family would be a wise choice.


16. Igatpuri Waterfall

This is one of the popular waterfalls near Igatpuri, ideal for family picnics. The waterfall is a 15-20 minute walk, just 400 meters from the parking area, with an easy hike. As the spot is becoming more famous, plan your visit accordingly.


17. Bhavli Waterfall

Bhavli Waterfall is a beautiful spot near Igatpuri, perfect for nature lovers. It’s one of the 5 waterfalls near Igatpuri. The area is safe for families & kids, with food stalls & parking nearby.

Also, there is no need to hike to get to the waterfall. Though, avoid visiting during holidays due to crowds.


18. Gavhande Waterfall

Gavhande Waterfall is an offbeat spot that attracts many visitors, especially on weekends. It is located a few minutes ahead of Bhavli Waterfall. People enjoy local snacks from nearby food stalls. Due to the increasing crowds to this Nashik waterfall, plan your trip accordingly.

19. Kurungwadi Waterfall

Kurungwadi Waterfall is one of the lesser known Nashik waterfall. It’s a small spot located on the way from Ghoti to Patta Killa via Vasali. The waterfall is ideal for a quick stop, perfect for a break and clicking photos.


20. Mahadev Waterfall

Mahadev Waterfall is a quieter alternative to Bhavli Waterfall, just a short drive away. The waterfall is very scening & also offers a scenic view of Alang Fort. 

During heavy rain, it’s risky to approach the waterfall due to slippery conditions. So it’s best to sit and enjoy the beautiful view, at least for family outings.


21. Ashoka Waterfall

Ashoka Waterfall is often considered the best waterfall in Maharashtra. It’s famous for being the shooting location of the movie “Ashoka.”

This Nashik waterfall is not only scenic but also very well maintained, with amenities like food stalls & washroom pods. A footpath with steps leads directly to the waterfall, making it an ideal spot for a family outing.


22. Shivdoh Waterfall

Shivdoh waterfall is a 80 feet tall waterfall in Akole. It is a perfect weekend getaway spot for monsoons. Despite its charm, the location lacks proper road access and tourism facilities. This makes the waterfall less explored.


23. Nanhi Waterfall

Nanhi Waterfall is a mesmerizing spot in the Bhandardara region. It features well-accessible viewpoints with proper stairs and a bridge.

This Nashik waterfall is safe for families, thanks to its well-maintained infrastructure. Although, the spot gets crowded on public holidays so plan your visit accordingly.


24. Umbrella Falls

When you’re near Bhandardara Dam, make sure to check out the Umbrella Waterfall. It’s just a short 500-meter walk from the Bhandardara Bus Stop. It’s called “Umbrella” because of its unique shape when the water flows from Wilson Dam.

There are multiple viewpoints: from the top near the dam wall, from the front, or from the garden below the dam wall. I suggest planning your visit carefully since the waterfall is seasonal and time-specific.


25. Necklace Waterfall

Located in Koltembhe within the Kalasubai Harishchandra Wildlife Sanctuary, Necklace Waterfall cascades down the rocks. Its beautiful, necklace-like formation gives the waterfall its name.

To reach the waterfall, you’ll need to trek through nature for about 30 minutes. The trek may be a bit challenging. However, the stunning view at the end makes it worth it.


26. Vasundhara Waterfall

Vasundhara Waterfall is a famous waterfall near Nashik, attracting tons of visitors. However, the flow of water is very strong during the monsoon. As a result, the guard does not allow visitors to dip into the turquoise pool formed by the waterfall.

The waterfall is a short hike from the road, which I covered in 10 minutes. To enjoy a more private experience, try to visit on off-days.


27. Hiradpada Waterfall

Hiradpada Waterfall is known for its impressive size and stunning views. The height from which the water falls creates a vibrant sound. A 45-minute trek is required to reach the waterfall’s base.

If you can’t handle the trek, a Machan at the parking area offers a view of the waterfall. The area and trek can be risky, so I recommend traveling in a group.


28. Dabhosa Waterfall

Dabhosa Waterfall is a famous spot near Jawhar. The height of the waterfall and the sheer volume of water flowing from it make it a must-see. However, due to the strong flow, access to the base of the waterfall may be restricted during peak monsoon.

Additionally, the area is remote and lacks accessibility. I recommend visiting in a group and carrying essentials with you.


29. Kalmandavi Waterfall

Kalmandavi Waterfall is a spot known for its beauty. It takes a 15-minute walk to reach the waterfall from parking, where you’ll find a well-maintained area. Life jackets are necessary for a dip in water & are available for rent.

To avoid large crowds, it’s best to visit on weekdays. Also, be cautious near the water, especially if you cannot swim.


30. Kundan Waterfall

Kundan Waterfall is a scenic spot near Nashik, surrounded by greenery and mountains. The Arch Bridge offers a great view of the falls. The area, with its paved red stone floor, is especially beautiful during the rainy season.


31. Ogda Waterfall

Ogda Waterfall is a hidden gem near Suryamal Sunset Point. It is an ideal spot for a peaceful nature stop. Although perfect for rainy season visits, be cautious of slippery areas. A short 5-minute trail from the road leads to this natural, serene spot.


32. Bhivtas Waterfall

Bhivtas Waterfall features two stunning waterfalls facing each other, with the larger one standing about 150 feet tall. It’s a proper waterfall spot that requires no trekking— you can drive directly to the location.

The only drawback is you can’t take a dip in the water. Visit this Nashik waterfall, only if you plan to sit & enjoy the view.


33. Tamkada Waterfall

Tamkada Waterfall is a scenic spot perfect for a refreshing break on the Pune-Nashik Road. Located just after Hotel Laxmi, a small road leads you to this beautiful waterfall.

The waterfall only flows during heavy rains, as it is fed by a stream that starts nearby and some water from surrounding hills. It’s a peaceful and picturesque place to visit, especially during the rainy season.


34. Maruti Waterfall

Maruti Waterfall, 32 km off Kasara road, is a serene spot ideal for nature lovers. Visit on weekdays for a quieter experience.

The road is mostly good, with a rough last stretch. Clean, safe water and no nearby food options, so carry your own snacks. Relax, enjoy!


35. Ganesh Waterfall Dharampur

A very famous spot near Wilson Hill station, Ganesh Waterfall is known for its trek. Although a bit far from Nashik, the stunning location is a must-visit. A 2 km trek with two minor river crossings is what people love about this waterfall.

Avoid going on weekend to skip the crowd. Also the trek can be tiring so only visit if you have the strength to cover 2 Km on feet.
