Hike/Trek Details

The hike distance to the waterfall is of about 2 Km. It takes about 30-40 minutes depending on your speed. Although, you return back within about 20 minutes only.

There would be two routes from parking to the waterfall:

  1. Stream Path: This route goes along a stream. It gets a bit slippery in monsoon so is a bit risky.
  2. Hill Route: This is a bit safer in monsoons. Although you’d miss out the fun of the cold water stream.

Tips for Visiting Pahine Waterfall

Start Early: Begin your trek early to avoid returning in the dark. This is specially true for monsoon season. Hiking back in dark can be risky considering the slipperiness.

Prepare for Rain: Pahine experiences heavy rainfall. The hike gets muddy & slippery. I suggest you carry appropriate hiking shoes as well as rain gear.

Water Crossing: Be cautious when crossing water along the trail. The algae makes the surface slippery.
